The club immediately began a “reset,” with seats spelling “Chansiri” removed from the stands. Manager Henrik Pedersen called it a “fresh restart,” while the Supporters Trust declared the “phase of renewal” has begun.
The administration was forced by a dire financial situation, including a $pounds{}$1 million tax bill owed to HMRC and repeated unpaid wages. This instability had already caused former manager Danny Röhl and key players to leave over the summer.
Administrator Begbies Traynor is now in charge, seeking a “swift sale” of the club and stadium, which will be sold as a package.
Despite the bleak league table, Pedersen remains defiant, vowing to “keep fighting” for survival. The Supporters Trust is urging all fans to end their boycotts and return to Hillsborough, stating, “Now is the time to be Wednesday.”
